County records indicate that you were recently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). A “Hardship license” does not restore your full driving privileges. Instead, it permits you to drive with restrictions during the period of revocation or suspension.

The Bureau of Administrative Reviews office can authorize one of two types of “hardship license” restrictions: (1) the Business Purposes Only (C Restriction), the most common and least restrictive type of hardship license issued, allows you to drive as necessary in order to maintain livelihood, which includes driving to and from work, necessary on-the-job driving, driving for educational purposes, and driving for church and for medical purposes; (2) the Employment Purposes Only (D Restriction)  allows you to drive to and from work and perform any necessary on the job driving required by an employer or occupation.

You must immediately apply for a hardship license. If you do not apply for a hardship license you may be forced to wait up to 90 days.  Below are the steps to apply for a “hardship license”:

Enroll in DUI School (Proof of Enrollment issued upon registration)

Pay a fee to obtain the hardship license

Pay $25.00 fee to DMV

Provide a copy of the citation
